THE FLAVOR POINT DEFINED: The point when the flavors in your food fill up the appetite center in your brain, subduing hunger and appetite.
You have a number of specialized cells in that part of your brain that respond to flavor . Think of those cells as a series of meters, measuring from empty to full. Each meter responds to a particular taste, from sweet to sour, salty to savory, and everything in between. Whenever you turn on an appetite meter, it must register fullness before it turns off again. The fewer meters you turn on, the less you eat before you feel full and satisfied and the sooner you reach the Flavor Point.
