"One of the best parts is that even though I'm losing weight, I feel like I'm eating more food than ever before."

I was never obese, but I come from a family of fat people, and I was well
on my way to becoming heavy myself. During the past 3 to 4 years, I gained 20 pounds.

I had already read Dr. Katz's first book and found it offered some great advice, so I decided to try his program.

Before I started, my diet wasn't terrible, but it was unbalanced. I usually ate a decent breakfast (oatmeal and coffee). For lunch, however, I ate whatever the cafeteria was serving, whether it was chicken or macaroni and cheese. Sometimes I would skip dinner and just have a bowl of cereal or an egg, or I would buy dinner out. I live by myself, so it didn't seem worth it for me to cook a whole meal. Being a big chocoholic, I ate a candy bar every day after lunch.

Dr. Katz's program has not only taught me how to cook well for
myself, it has also taught me to enjoy doing it. I actually shocked all my friends because I was notorious for not cooking (I actually used my oven for a storage space for a while). Now I'm totally comfortable with cooking. I actually find it fun!

The most surprising change? I haven't craved the chocolate after lunch.
